Had an amazing day at the end of last year styling and photographing these raw + vegan deserts from MamaP cafe for their new cafe menus. The final menu is below, and it looks so much better in person than on this screen so be sure to go and visit MamaP Cafe one day soon – on the highway at Charlestown!
A few of the alternate images shown below. It was such a hard job choosing the favourite to go on the menu! Funny to think these are the ‘rejects’ when so much work goes into the intricate positioning over every little element. But, the final image needed to have a focus on the raw mini cakes, without the flowers overwhelming them too much, and also needed to work well in a portrait format with enough room for the required text.
Although I do love the mint chocolate raw cakes with all that green foliage, and that orange carnation is just stunning, in the end it was decided that the pink (raspberry + white chocolate) cakes and the pink toned flowers worked better.
